“I love to play with colors” and I was looking at her huge portfolio admiring her skills and determination. Rushda Shahzad is a textile student at College Of Arts and Design, Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan.

She seems honestly in love with textile designs. Even her dupata was self designed. She studies different topics for inspiration. “Designs are all around you in nature. You just need to observe deeply and use your creativity.”

Rushda Shahzad is featuring her work in online exhibitions next week. She seemed very enthusiastic when I was telling her the performance reports of our recent online exhibitions.

“There’s no platform for designers especially to exhibit their work. We only get a chance to display our work at thesis but for a limited people. I think online exhibition is a great opportunity for designers to show their designs/product to a wider audience.”

It was really admiring hearing her say that as a number of people who I talked to are still confused about the importance of a wider audience and opportunities they can avail.

She plans to sell her textile designs and market her work so when she get into the market every one know what is she offering and how good her work is. She has agreed to showcase her work time to time in our online store.

“I am anxiously waiting to see textile thesis from Nexus School of Fashion Design as I wasn’t able to go there and one day I will like to have my own thesis online”
